Nottingham Forest are believed to have amade a substantial offer for Walsall striker Matty Fryatt.

Fryatt, 19, scored against the Reds in last weeks defeat for Forest at the Bescot Stadium. He is also an England under 19 international.

Megson has targeted the forwardline as the place that now needs strengthening after focusing on the defence in pre season. The current forwards are thin on the ground in number and goals.

Walsall want £1million, but Fryatt is out of contract in the summer and may feel taking money now might be sure fire than waiting for a tribunial, as the youngster would also relaise Forest can offer better wages to him.
